Gore Recognized as one of the World’s Best Multinational Workplaces by Great Place to Work®

Company earns No 4 spot

Newark, Del. (October 23, 2014) — There are a number of factors that can drive a company’s success, and for W. L. Gore & Associates, workplace culture has proven a competitive advantage. It has also earned the company continued recognition as a top workplace, including the No. 4 spot on the 2014 list of the World’s Best Multinational Workplaces, announced today.

Compiled by the Great Place to Work® Institute, the ranking is the world’s largest annual study of workplace excellence and identifies the 25 best multinational companies in terms of workplace culture.

For more than 50 years, Gore has cultivated a corporate culture that fosters the innovative spirit of individuals and teams. Associates play an active role in choosing what they work on and defining their career paths. There is no need to operate through chains of command, and decisions are based on knowledge rather than seniority.

“At Gore, we take great pride in our culture and recognize the very important role it plays in driving business success,” says CEO Terri Kelly, who joined Gore as an engineer more than 30 years ago. “By fostering an environment where people feel motivated, engaged and passionate about the work they do, we are better able to tap into our potential and create innovative products that truly make a difference in the world.”

Gore’s product portfolio includes waterproof GORE-TEX® fabric, life-saving cardiovascular devices, filtration technologies and electronic cables used in space missions, among hundreds of other offerings.

Gore is among 2,800 multinational corporations that participated globally in the Great Place to Work® Institute’s 2014 list evaluation processes. Of these, 429 appeared on national Best Workplaces Lists. From that pool of companies, the 25 World’s Best Multinational Workplaces were selected.
