GORE SEAMGUARD® Staple Line Reinforcement (ePTFE)

Prolonged air leaks are a major complication following pulmonary resections as they have been shown to increase patient morbidity and length of hospital stays. This condition is of particular concern in those with fragile emphysematic lungs.

GORE SEAMGUARD® Staple Line Reinforcement, made from ePTFE, is a safe, effective tool in reducing postoperative pulmonary air leaks.¹ This inert, biocompatible, ePTFE material requires no pretreatment and is non-biological.
