Gore Medical Receives National Honor for Operational Excellence

W. L. Gore & Associates named as a winner of the eighth annual Pinnacle Award

Flagstaff, Ariz. (June 20, 2013) — W. L. Gore & Associates (Gore) today announced that the Gore Medical Division has received the Pinnacle Award, an elite honor recognizing operational excellence in the healthcare industry. Gore has provided creative therapeutic solutions to complex medical problems for 35 years, with an extensive family of products that includes vascular grafts, endovascular and interventional devices, and surgical meshes.

Premier, a provider-owned performance improvement alliance of 2,800 hospitals and nearly 100,000 other care sites, contracts with more than 1,000 suppliers. With the Pinnacle Award, Premier recognizes the outstanding work of suppliers who exceed exectations, based on performance data over four successive calendar quarters. Gore is one of just 15 suppliers to receive the Pinnacle Award in 2013.

Winners are recognized for their outstanding management of Premier agreements and their drive toward the mutual goal of providing clinical and financial value to care sites.

Gore accepted the award at Premier’s 2013 annual Breakthroughs Conference and Exhibition in San Antonio, Texas.
