Adopting global standards

Gore is proud to be an active member of the National Transformation Task force of the most widely used supply chain standards system in the world – the GS1 Healthcare Standard.
The GS1 Healthcare Standard is a global standardized system for traceability from product manufacture to patient treatment. These core standards help increase patient safety, drive supply chain efficiencies and reducing costs.1
These standards offer a solution that can resolve confusion by allowing automatic identification, traceability and data synchronization of medical devices throughout the entire global supply chain.1
In addition, Gore implements the use of Global Trade Item Numbers (GTINs), which are the world’s most widely used identifier to help capture precise product information with a single identifier. The Gore’s 14-digit GTINs contain the barcode identifications of Gore as the manufacturer as well as the globally unique item reference number on the Gore Medical Products’ device packages. This helps provide a foundation for traceability to promote order accuracy and offers you a smooth ordering experience.

Global Location Numbers (GLN)
Globally unique 13-digit codes that identify physical locations or legal entities, such as a company or a division of a company
Global Data Synchronisation Network (GDSN)
Automated, standards-based, global environments that enable secure and continuous data synchronisation allowing all partners within the healthcare supply chain to have consistent GTIN and GLN item data in their systems concurrently.
Global Trade Item Numbers (GTINs)
Provided in human-readable form and within barcodes, these codes appear on Gore Medical Products’ device packages, identifying Gore as the manufacturer as well as the globally unique item reference number.
eCl@ss (Release 13.0)
The industry standard for the classification and specification of products and services includes information around product attribution instantly available along the entire value chain.
